A report detailing the status of GCC 4.0.2 as of September 7, 2005, is now available.
There are currently 48 critical bugs open against 4.0.1, in addition to nearly 200 regressions. Mark Mitchell plans to make a 4.0.2 RC1 this weekend, with the branch freezing after the creation of the first release candidate.
