A report detailing the status of the GNU Compiler Collection 4.1 release as of February 14, 2006 is now available.
There still remains two problems which need to be addressed before the release, but patches for those problems are available. The 4.1 branch will be frozen starting February 15, with a release candidate planned for late in the day.
