March 15, 2008 IronPython 2.0 Beta 1 has been released. IronPython is an implementation of Python running on .NET. This release includes: support for PEP 328 and PEP 302, 'sys' as a real builtin module, improvements to the -X:PreferComDispatch flag, and other changes. REBOL 2.7.6 has been released. REBOL is a dynamic, multi-paradigm language, with emphasis placed on networked and distributed computing. This release includes: the addition of the SHIFT function; the inclusion of the /library component in the free distribution; backported FIRST+, ALSO, IN-DIR, TO-RELATIVE-FILE, TAKE, and MOVE from REBOL 3; bug fixes; and other changes. March 14, 2008 The Advanced Bash Scripting Guide 5.2 has been released. It is a shell scripting tutorial and reference focusing on Bash. This edition includes: bug fixes, stylistic cleanups, new example scripts, clarifications, and other changes. Gambas 2.3 has been released. Gambas is a development environment and BASIC-like language implementation with object-oriented extensions. This release includes: IDE support for creating Debian and Ubuntu packages for component projects, the opening of device files by the interpreter in non-blocking mode, updates to the MySQL database driver, and other changes. The 2008 ACM SIGPLAN Workshop on ML has put out a call for papers. This workshop aims to provide "a forum to encourage discussion and research on ML and related technology."
