Algol 68 Genie Mark 15.1 has been released. It is an open source Algol 68 interpreter.

This release includes: documentation updates, support for the Laplace transform, and regression fixes.

Scheme Workshop 2009 has put out a call for papers. "The purpose of the workshop is to report experience with the Scheme family of programming languages, to foster collaboration among the members of the community, and to present research related to Scheme and functional programming."

The submission deadline is June 5, 2009. The workshop will be held on August 22, 2009, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

It has been announced that registration is now open for PyCon 2009. PyCon is an annual conference focusing on Python.

Conference activities will be held from March 25 to April 2, 2009, in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Mono 2.4 Preview 1 has been released. Mono is a portable, open source .NET CLI implementation.

Gambas 2.11 has been released. Gambas is a development environment and BASIC-like language implementation with object-oriented extensions.

This release includes: improvements to the development environment, and bug fixes.

PHP 5.3.0beta1 has been released. PHP is a general-purpose scripting language, suitable for Web development and embedding within HTML.

phc 0.2.0.2 has been released. phc compiles PHP code to native binaries.

This release includes fixes.

Ruby 1.9.1 has been released. Ruby is a dynamic, cross-platform, object-oriented language.

This release includes: updates and improvements to the builtin classes and objects, magic comments for declaring the source code encoding, a new syntax for lambdas, a new literal hash syntax, support for block local variables, support for mandatory arguments after optional arguments, support for overloading negative operators, new and updated bundled libraries, and other changes.

Trad4 1.0 has been released. "Trad4 is a fully concurrent, thread safe, graph-based programming language that scales linearly on multiple cores."

It has been announced that a new GCC Runtime Library Exception has been developed. This will allow various GNU Compiler Collection libraries to switch to the GPLv3, as well as allow for the development of a plugin framework for GCC.

It has been announced that Excelsior JET 4.8 has entered product end-of-life status. Excelsior JET is a Java implementation including support for ahead-of-time compilation.

Ready Lisp 20090125 has been released. It is combines together SBCL and several popular Common Lisp packages, for Mac OS OX.

Shed Skin 0.1 has been released. Shed Skin is an experimental Python compiler that emits C++ code.

Ctalk 0.0.93a rc3 has been released. Ctalk is an object-oriented extension to C.

This release includes: improved registration of C variables used as method arguments, improved translation of objects used as function arguments, terminal InputEvent support for the Win32TerminalStream class, methods for reading PC-compatible BIOS keyboard scan codes and shift states, and the scancode.c example program.

Eagle Beta 1.0.3312.40289 has been released. Eagle is an implementation of Tcl for the .NET CLR.

SWI-Prolog 5.7.5 has been released. SWI-Prolog is a portable, open source Prolog implementation.

This release includes: enhancements to the wiki formatter of PlDoc, fixes to the new meta-predicate handling, greater usage of :- meta_predicate in the libraries, bug fixes, and other changes.

SWI-Prolog 5.6.64 has been released. SWI-Prolog is a portable, open source Prolog implementation.

This release includes: the addition of library(charsio), bug fixes, and other changes.

Free Pascal 2.2.4rc1 has been released. Free Pascal is a portable, open source Pascal and Object Pascal compiler.

This release includes: an experimental package installation tool, fcl-image support for reading and writing TIFF images, improved CHM support, and other changes.

The Eighth ACM SIGPLAN Erlang Workshop has put out a call for papers. It aims to "bring together the open source, academic, and industrial programming communities of Erlang. It will enable participants to familiarize themselves with recent developments on new techniques and tools tailored to Erlang, novel applications, draw lessons from users' experiences and identify research problems and common areas relevant to the practice of Erlang and functional programming."

The submission deadline is May 8, 2009. The workshop will be held on September 3, 2009, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

PLT Scheme 4.1.4 has been released. PLT Scheme is a family of Scheme implementations, including DrScheme and MzScheme.
