NullLogic Embedded Scripting Language 0.9.1 has been released. Nesla is a portable, embeddable, object-oriented scripting language.
This release includes: the addition of eval(), support for string multiplication, new examples, bug fixes, and other changes.

The 2008 European Conference on Object-Oriented Programming has put out a call for workshop proposals. "ECOOP 2008 will host a number of workshops addressing different areas of object-oriented technology. Workshops serve as a forum for exchanging late breaking ideas and theories in an evolutionary stage. They typically focus on either in depth analysis or broad-ranging approaches to areas related to object-oriented technology."
The proposal deadline is December 26, 2007. The conference will be held from July 7 to 11, 2008, in Paphos, Cyprus.
It has been announced that the next FringeDC informal meeting will be held on November 10, 2007. FringeDC is a group for people in the Washington, D.C. area who are interested in non-mainstream programming languages, including Lisp, Scheme, Haskell, Prolog and Smalltalk.

ooRexx 3.2.0 has been released. ooRexx is a portable, open-source REXX implementation based on IBM Object REXX.
This release includes: improved performance of the DROP instruction, 'method' and 'methods' methods for the Object class, documentation updates, build fixes, a number of new language constructs, bug fixes, and other changes.

Algol 68 Genie Mark 11 has been released. It is an open source Algol 68 interpreter.

ECMAScript Edition 4 Reference Implementation M1 has been released. It is an implementation of the ECMAScript Edition 4 specification, written in Standard ML.
Glasgow Haskell Compiler 6.8.1 has been released. GHC is a portable, open-source, optimising Haskell 98 implementation.
This release includes: the completion of the first phase of the base package split, performance improvements due to the use of pointer tagging in the code generator, the addition of Haskell Program Coverage support to the compiler, an interactive debugger for GHCi, bug fixes, and other changes.
Allegro CL 8.1 (x86-64) for Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) has been released. Allegro CL is a Common Lisp development system, supporting a number of platforms.
