Workshop on Transactional Memory Workloads 2006 Call for Papers

Posted: 2006-01-18 23:07:00

The Workshop on Transactional Memory Workloads has put out a call for papers. Transactional memory is a practical implementation of a powerful concurrency control primitive, "atomic regions" that ensure the atomic execution of almost arbitrary code segments. The workshop aims to create a discussion on what features are required -- both in language support and in implementation -- to enable transactional memory to support the wealth of application requirements for concurrency control.

Submissions are due by March 20, 2006. Co-located with PLDI, the workshop itself will be held on June 10, 2006, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
