It has been announced that cobra-language.com is the new domain of the Cobra project. Cobra is a high-level language for .NET, including features such as generics, contracts, compile-time type inference, exception handling, garbage collection, and more.

LuaNews has been announced. It is a "summary of the latest happenings on the Lua mail list and elsewhere in the Lua world." Lua is a dynamically-typed scripting language offering object-oriented capabilities, designed for extending applications.

It has been announced that the Standard Pascal web site has moved to standardpascal.org. The site contains "various information about the standard versions of Pascal as stated by the ISO and ANSI organizations."

WikiCFP has been announced. It is a site for organizing and sharing calls-for-papers, including a section on CFPs concerning programming languages.

Planet D has been announced. It is a feed aggregator drawing from D-related blogs.

D is a general-purpose language designed as a successor to C++, offering features such as design by contract, garbage collection, first class arrays, closures, templates, and more.

liskell.org, the new website of the Liskell programming language, has been announced. Liskell combines the syntax of Lisp with the semantics of Haskell.

Smalltalk Central has been announced. "Smalltalk Central provides a starting point for finding Smalltalk content, news, and links, from beginner tutorials to articles for expert developers."

The availability of the list of programming languages indexed by the Programming Language Research Engine has been announced. PLRE is "a custom search engine created using the Google co-op service for searching primarily academic sites related to programming language theory, design, and implementation."

It has been announced that the YAPC::Europe 2007 website has been launched.

The conference will be held from August 29 to 31, 2007 in Vienna, Austria. The speakers include Larry Wall, Damian Conway, and Audrey Tang.

Jon Harrop has announced the creation of his F# News blog. F# is a variant of ML running on .NET, sharing a core language with Objective Caml.
