"The Order of Canada recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement and contributions to society and the country by Canadians from all walks of life." February 20, 2007 An early announcement has been made concerning the upcoming Excelsior JET 5.0 release. Excelsior JET is a Java implementation including support for ahead-of-time compilation. A new deployment model is planned, allowing for the optional exclusion of unused components from the Java SE API. It has been announced that Excelsior JET 3.6 has reached End-of-Life status. Users are recommended to upgrade to a more recent version. February 19, 2007 java2python 0.2 has been released. It translates Java source code into Python source code. This release includes: support for the conversion of Java public static main() methods, better exception translation, bug fixes, and other changes.
