The ACM SIGPLAN 2008 Haskell Symposium has put out a call for papers. "The purpose of the Haskell Symposium is to discuss experience with Haskell, and future developments for the language. The scope of the symposium includes all aspects of the design, semantics, theory, application, implementation, and teaching of Haskell."
The submission deadline is June 23, 2008. The symposium will be held on September 25, 2008, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Generic Haskell 1.80 (Emerald) has been released. Generic Haskell is an extension of Haskell that supports generic programming.
This release includes: support for generic views for generic types, and improvements to the implementation of type-indexed types.

Disciplined Disciple Compiler Alpha 1 has been released. "Disciple is an explicitly lazy dialect of Haskell which supports destructive update, computational effects, type directed field projections and some other useful things."
This is the initial alpha release of DDC.
