iForth32 3.0 has been released. iForth32 is a portable, multithreaded 32-bit ANS Forth implementation.

This release includes: support for OS-level threads and callbacks, a new graphics driver for X, new sound drivers, improved path name support, and other changes.

EuroForth 2008 Announcement, Call for Papers

EuroForth 2008 has been announced. A call for papers has also been issued. "EuroForth brings together researchers and practitioners from the Forth community. Papers are solicited on all aspects of Forth (applications, implementations, extensions, etc.) and related topics."

The deadline for draft papers is June 27, 2008. The conference will be held from September 26 to 28, 2008, in Vienna, Austria.

This release includes: a rewrite of the assembler, the replacement of DO LOOP with FOR NEXT, a pointer register called P, support for inline literals, and other changes.
