It has been announced that the next FringeDC formal meeting will be held on October 11, 2008. FringeDC is a group for people in the Washington, D.C. area who are interested in non-mainstream programming languages, including Lisp, Scheme, Haskell, Prolog and Smalltalk.

Mono 2.0 has been released. Mono is a portable, open source .NET CLI implementation.
